Soul Nite is back by popular demand! Join us at the historic Eldorado Ballroom for a celebration of the moves, grooves, passion and fashion of the great 60s. Guest curator Peter Lucas presents an all-new selection of vintage performance footage ranging from Motown smooth to Southern funky.

James Brown, Lee Dorsey, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Linda Carr and many others will be cranked up on the big screen. Don’t miss this chance to see, hear and dance to many of the era’s greatest Soul performers in a legendary Houston venue!  

Special thanks to Whole Foods MarketSaint Arnold Brewery and Project Row Houses for their support of this program.  Funds donated and raised by this event will go to support scholarships for Aurora's Popcorn Kids Boot Campto teach filmmaking basics to youth that might not otherwise be able to attend a summer art camp.


Peter Lucas works with Northwest Film Forum as a film programmer and curator of special series’ exploring the intersections of music, visual art, and design with moving image media. He has also developed and curated music film programs for the Seattle International Film Festival, Experience Music Project, Earshot Jazz Festival, Sound Unseen Music & Film Festival, and other venues and organizations.
