EXTREMELY SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL
Aurora’s eclectic annual film festival showcases short films, 3 minutes or less, of all kinds and from around the world. Submissions are open between October and March, a guest juror selects the films to be featured, and the festival is presented in-person and online in May. Submissions are easy and affordable (and free for Aurora members upon request). The submissions for the 2024 Extremely Shorts fest will open in October.

BYOB (BRING YOUR OWN BEAMER)
Every spring, Aurora and the Menil Collection co-present this annual evening of outdoor, community-sourced projections on the museum’s façade. The event is held in early May, and while this is open to all Houstonians, participants must sign up for a 30-minute time slot in advance in April and space fills up quickly.
