We had so much fun last year we decided to do another BYOB event! Do you have a slide, video, film or overhead projector? Dust off your equipment and BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer). The Menil Collection and Aurora Picture Show celebrate the moving image with Houston's original BYOB event where anyone can bring their own projection device and beam their images, videos or films onto the museum's façade. The first BYOB event was organized in Berlin in 2010 by artist Rafaël Rozendaal. The event is open anyone and is meant to create a dynamic collaborative experience with moving images and light. Mobile Media Literacy
Aurora Picture Show in the Community

Through our Mobile Media Literacy program, Aurora Picture Show hits the road to visit hospitals, non-profit groups and local schools to bring media literacy and filmmaking to the community.  By working with partners such as Young Audiences of Houston, Texas Children's Hospital Cancer Center Art In Medicine Program and Writers in the Schools, Aurora partners with established community programs geared toward youth. Check out the film that Media Arts Education Manager Camilo Gonzalez helped create for the Making A Mark collaborative project. Aurora Picture Show was thrilled to be the 2014 Guest Artist. Camilo worked with patients at Texas Children's Cancer Center and The Periwinkle Foundation Long Term Survivor group to create, "I Dream", a short film. VIEW "I DREAM"
