NIGHT LIGHT 2024
Co-presented by Aurora Picture Show and Buffalo Bayou Partnership
Location: Buffalo Bayou East, Tony Marron Park
Free Admission
Aurora Picture Show and Buffalo Bayou Partnership co-present this free annual event featuring video activations on surfaces on the Buffalo Bayou East waterfront. For NIGHT LIGHT 2024, Houston artists Violette Bule, Ronald Llewellyn Jones, and Nick Vaughan & Jake Margolin have been commissioned to create new, site-specific media works along a half mile stretch of bayou trails. In addition, a collaborative, animated film made by artist Ezra Wube with residents of the Greater East End and Fifth Ward will also be shown. A market with music by DJ Gracie Chavez, food trucks, and local vendors will be located at Tony Marron Park, and the artists’ installations will be connected by walking paths. Drop by this festive, uniquely Houston experience between 8 and 10pm! (In case of inclement weather, this event will take place on Saturday, April 20, 8–10pm).
