For the third year, the non-profit arts groups of the Menil Campus band together again to showcase a day of performances, workshops and exhibits for the whole family to enjoy.  Check out the website for The Menil Community Arts Festival for the full schedule of events, but make sure to join Aurora for our activities including a free Popcorn Kids video salons at 1PM and 2:30PM, as well as a screening of family friendly short films from the New York International Children's Film Festival.

Aurora will host two Popcorn Kids video salons in the Aurora Video Library (1524 Sul Ross) about stop-motion animation with filmmaker Kelly Sears.  This free artist talk and hands-on workshop is family-friendly and will explore the basics of animation.  Families and youth interested in learning more about creating their own films are encouraged to attend.

In addition from 11-5PM, Aurora will host an Open House where the public is invited to learn more about Aurora Picture Show.  Saint Arnold Brewery will be on-site with adult brews (ID required) and rootbeer.  We will also have a special outdoor screening of family shorts on the New Image Networks LED Truck and a video salon about stop-motion animation with filmmaker Kelly Sears at 1PM and 2:30PM.
