For the first time ever, multidisciplinary artist Lisa E. Harris will present the complete trilogy of her long-time passion project Cry Of The Third Eye at the Smith Neighborhood Library in Houston’s Third Ward. This live, multimedia meditation on legacy, loss, dreams, and gentrification in the Third Ward features Harris’ three independent short films Cry of the Third Eye (2011), The Children of the Lost (2015), The Last Resort (2019) accompanied by her live vocals, spoken narration, theremin, and sound textures. Aurora has premiered portions of this project over the past few years, including a packed performance in the fall. Don’t miss this special homecoming event, presenting the world premiere of its three-part culmination in the place that inspired it.
