HSPVA Digital Reunion

HSPVA Digital Reunion
Co-Presented with HSPVA Visual Arts
Curated by David Waddell
Saturday, January 10, 7:00PM
Free Admission
(RSVP Kindly Requested)

From animated noses to telenovela spoofs, David Waddell from the The High School of Performing and Visual Arts will introduce a program of student work from the Visual Arts Department on Saturday, January 10th at 7PM for Aurora Picture Show. Culling alumni works of students ranging from the Class of 2008 to 2017, these short shorts represent the Visual Arts Department of HSPVA. Striving to provide a solid foundation in the visual arts, Instructor Waddell and his support team of teachers and artists work to help these teens build a broad-based fine arts experience with an emphasis on idea/concept development, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The screening includes an assortment of animations and films from the program’s Freshman Video Workshop, Sophomore Video, Sophomore Animation, Conceptual Concerns and Elective Video Class.

If you have a young filmmaker who might be inspired by the next generation of digital artists, or are interested in learning more about HSPVA and their Visual Arts Department, then join Aurora for a free screening of Houston’s future filmmakers.  This screening is free but RSVPs to aurora@aurorapictureshow.org are kindly requested.
