Aurora Picture Show presents a pop-up sculpture and video art installation by Houston-based artist VLM (Virginia L. Montgomery) investigating themes of materiality, metamorphosis, and "atomic consciousness." This surreal and sensorial new work blends together themes from ancient mythology, feminist psychoanalysis, and material physics to present a multi-layered dreamscape of ocular symbols, echoing sounds, and swirling logic. Join us for the opening and outdoor reception anytime between 7 and 10pm on Friday October 8. There will be an artist talk the following Saturday, October 16, at 1pm inside. The work will also be available to view by appointment Oct. 9-17 Contact Mary to arrange a visit.
