Once a year, Austin Film Society awards grants to emerging film and video artists in the state of Texas. AFS Artist Services Manager Iliana Sosa will be here to review the grant application guidelines and procedures and answer questions. Following this session, AFS and the Houston Film Commission present a special screening of three award-winning, Texas-made shorts that received AFS grants: The Send-Off by Ivete Lucas and Patrick Bresnan, Carne Seca by Jazmin Diaz, and 1985 by Yen Tan.
