Aurora Picture Show and QFest partner on the Houston premiere of INNI, the visually breathtaking experimental documentary about Iceland's incomparable and influential rock band, Sigur Rós. INNI will be presented as a multi-screen immersive cinematic event both indoors and outdoors on Friday, July 27 at 7PM in the new home of Aurora Picture Show located at 2442 Bartlett. In addition to the screening, there will be a performance by Two Star Symphony.

Filmed in a manner that invites both intimacy and claustrophobia, INNI cocoons the viewer in a one-on-one relationship with the band, eschewing the audience for closeness, depicting how it feels for both band and fan to experience Sigur Rós live. The film's atmosphere is enhanced by the re-filming of the original digital footage on 16mm, which was then re-filmed again, sometimes through prisms and other found objects, allowing INNI to look and feel like something recovered from the past. Interspersed with this is archival footage drawn from the band's previous decade, dating back as far as 1998. This juxtaposition gives viewers the full scope of Sigur Rós' origins, evolution, originality and influence.

Two Star Symphony will kick off the night with an original musical performance before the film screening. Composing and performing all-original music in quartet and octet configurations, Two Star brings modern instrumental music to a wide range of audiences, from classical music enthusiasts to first time listeners.

After their one-hour performance from 7-8PM, there will be a special cocktail break sponsored by Stockholm Krystal Vodka with a Swedish Mint-Lemon Drop. Then at 8:30PM, Aurora will begin the screenings both indoors and outdoors. Saint Arnold Brewery samples and slices from Pink's Pizza will also be available.

In addition to the entertainment and treats, QFest, in partnership with Planned Parenthood of Gulf Coast and the participation of Baylor College of Medicine, will offer free HIV testing on-site. Complimentary valet will be provided or street parking is available on North Blvd and throughout the neighborhood.
