Supported by a Warhol Curatorial Fellowship, Aurora Curator Mary Magsamen is bringing together women artists of international and local acclaim to research how vulnerability can drive creativity, especially for women working with film and video. While earlier convening conversations are not public, many of the participating artists will be in attendance for this public presentation of video works relating to Feminism and ideas of the vulnerable voice. The screening includes works by Carolee Schneemann, Barbara Hammer, Lourdes Portillo, Marisa Olson, Amy Jenkins, Moira Williams, Akosua Adoma Owusu, Xiaoqing Zhu, Karina Aguilera Skvirsky, Cristina Molina, Allison Hunter, Tish Stringer, Lisa E. Harris, Anna Mayer, Emily Peacock, Britt Thomas, Brenda Cruz-Wolf, Krista Steinke and Ceci Norman.
