Education Director Camilo Gonzalez presents a showcase of new videos created through Aurora’s creative workshops and residencies in Houston-area hospitals, schools, and community centers. This program features the premiere screening of "The Magic Powers Project"–a 10-minute collage of visions from young patients and their siblings as a part of the Periwinkle Arts In Medicine Program at Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers. This project encouraged kids to imagine special powers that could change the world and allowed them to express these through stop-motion animation. The program will also include a sampling of short videos made through Aurora’s youth programs, including Home/Hogar (Wesley Community Center), Whatabirds (Austin High School), and highlights from Aurora Summer Filmmaking Camps for kids.
