Special online-only festival program streaming May 15-22

Now in it’s 23rd year, Aurora Picture Show's annual Extremely Shorts Film Festival is wildly eclectic, famously fun, and beyond category! While we are unable to present the festival’s public screenings, guests, and celebrations as planned, Aurora is happy to bring you an online-only festival program featuring 23 new short films (each under three minutes) of all kinds from around the country (Texas, Georgia, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, California, New York, New Jersey) and around the world (UK, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Colombia). This year's guest juror, Mexico City-based artist and writer Miguel Calderón, has selected this work from hundreds of open-call submissions. This Extremely Shorts Film Festival 2020 online program will be available to stream on the homepage of this website for one week–May 15-22. The program is offered for free (though we encourage you to donate what you can to support Aurora and the festival), and during that week viewers will be able to vote online for the cash-awarded Audience Choice film. Audience and Juror Awards will be announced on Sunday May 24, and will be featured in the “Satellites” section of the website for encore viewing.
