Aurora Picture Show and the Menil Collection co-present this lively, annual evening of outdoor, community-sourced projections covering the museum’s façade. Originally inspired by artist Rafaël Rozendaal’s Berlin events and the spread of global projection parties, Houston’s unique springtime projection festival on the museum's sprawling front lawn has become a tradition for participants and picnicking audiences alike. This free event features the projections of dozens of contributors. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs, snacks, and beverages. Little Kitchen HTX food truck will be there, as well. The event is open at 8pm with music going and food truck available, and the projections begin at 8:30pm.
