Avant Trash: Works of Urban Desperation

Avant Trash: Works of Urban Desperation features three highly influential incredibly fun, and RARELY SHOWN short works by famed avant-garde filmmakers Kenneth Anger, George Kuchar and Mike Kuchar - all of them exploring the intersection of high avant-gardism and low campiness - plus a short film by notorious “Cinema of Transgression” director Richard Kern. The other works on the program are gritty urban folktales directed by a youger generation, sharing some of the moods and devices of the Kuchar brothers, Anger and Kern.
