AURORA TEEN CLUB
Aurora Picture Show’s Teen Club provides young adults with a fun and engaging gathering space in which to expand their knowledge of film and moving image art through conversation and collaboration. Limited to no more than 15 enthusiastic and motivated high school students in the Houston area, members will attend online and in person meetings, where they’ll be encouraged to talk about interesting things they’ve seen recently as well as their own creative ideas and projects. Aurora staff will show unique film and video works, lead discussions about cinema’s histories, and host critiques of member-made work. As part of the 2021 program, Aurora Teen Club members will connect with other young creatives in Houston, further their interests in media, and build confidence through critical thinking, conversation, and collaboration.
