Winter Lego Animation Mini Camp

Winter Lego Animation Mini Camp

Thursday, January 2 - Saturday, January 4
9:00am to 2:00pm
Ages 9-12 (12 students max enrollment)
Cost: $250 for Aurora Members, $285 for Non-Members

Lights, Camera, Action!  Youth filmmakers are invited to create their own stop-motion animated movie using Lego characters and sets. Students will create stories and then take digital pictures and group them together in a time-sequence to produce a motion video.  Using LEGO characters, the youth will build background settings and add voice or music to complete the video.

After selling-out our one-day LEGO animation workshops, Aurora ups the ante with a three-day mini-camp over Winter Break.  Be forewarned, these lego programs sell out fast!  It pays to be a card-carrying Aurora member for those advance registration opportunities before these special programs open up to the general public. So bring you Vaders, your Hogwarts or just a whole pile of bricks to the workshop and we’ll show you how to make stop-motion animated films sure to start off your year right!

At the end of the class students will receive a DVD of their own video. Finished films are screened for family and friends at a culminating showcase on the last day of the program.  Parents and friends should arrive on Saturday at 1PM for the screening.  All students will need to fill out a registration form to secure their spot in the camp.
