These personal films and videos were perhaps the most revealing portraits that Robert Frank has created. Frank candidly investigates his relationship with his children, his wife and his close friends, from the late 1960s through the 1980s. The program title is a question asked by Frank's wife June Leaf in "Life Dances On". With the camera directed at her, she probes, "Why do you want to make these pictures?".
