On Wednesday, November 12th do the bulk of your weekly shopping at Whole Foods Market Bellaire to support the Education programs of Aurora Picture Show. Aurora Picture Show is thrilled to have been selected as a beneficiary of this month's Whole Foods Market Community Giving Day at the Bellaire location.  The store will donate 5% of their November 12th net sales all day from 8AM to 10PM to Aurora Picture Show.    

At Whole Foods Market, team members are part of the local community and are active in supporting the local causes that are important to  shoppers and neighbors.  Whole Foods Market and Aurora Picture Show have long been partners, specifically sponsoring programs such as Extremely Shorts Film Festival and youth education programs for the family.  Aurora Picture Show is a non-profit media arts center that presents artist-made, non-commercial film and video.  Aurora is dedicated to expanding the cinematic experience and promoting the understanding and appreciation of moving image art. 
 
Not only will you be supporting a great cause, but Aurora will also host an animation art activity from 3-5PM in the store.  Youth and teens will be invited to create "One-Second Flip Book Films." Using recycled scrap paper, families will work together to create images that string together to create the illusion of continuous movement when the pages are flipped quickly.  Each image will be slightly different to give the impression of moving image.  This is a fun way to create films and stories without technology.  Each book will contain 24 pieces of paper to simulate standard filming and projection formats for traditional motion pictures.

Then from 5-7PM, Aurora staff and board will be on-site with hosted treats for a happy hour.  Show some love to Aurora by shopping at Whole Foods Market Bellaire!
