Get ready for our annual Soul celebration! Peter Lucas hosts this all-out 60s Soul party featuring classic and rare music performance footage on the big screen, food, drink, and dancing– all to benefit Aurora’s youth programs. Bring your good vibes, best moves, and closest friends to Houston’s historic Eldorado Ballroom for an all-new selection of 60s soul performances, including James Brown, Sam & Dave, Barbara Lynn, Rufus Thomas, Wilson Pickett and many more!

Curator Peter Lucas will be in attendance as your host for the evening of rare performance footage from Soul music's greatest performers. The Eldorado Ballroom is a historic Houston music venue that previously hosted a number of the performers represented in the vintage footage for the screening. 



Peter Lucas is a curator, arts organizer, educator, and music lover. He has created music-related film programs for the Northwest Film Forum, Seattle International Film Festival. Experience Music Project, Earshot Jazz Festival, Sound Unseen Music & Film Festival, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and other venues and organizations. He is currently Education Associate and a contributing curator at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and film writer for Glasstire.
