Daft Punk’s Electroma
Directed by Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo
(France/USA; 2006; 74 min; 35mm; Color)

Famed French Electronica duo Daft Punk have fashioned the ultimate in sci-fi chic: an unlikely and utterly inventive melding of David Bowie’s famed Ziggy Stardust cycle and Michelangelo Antonioni’s Zabriskie Point. Transforming their stage personas into cinematic flesh-and-blood, Bangalter and Homem-Christo’s robotic alter-egos journey through the desert on a quest to become human.

Preceded by: Permanent Residents Directed by Isabell Spengler (Germany/USA; 2005; 10 min; DigiBeta; Color)
Fantastical alien invaders find themselves trapped in the banality of life on earth.

In collaboration with: DiverseWorks The French Consulate, Houston
