During the last days of 1999, German video artist Bjoern Melhus launched an international e-mail campaign called TV-2000. Melhus asked people to set their VCRs to record the last 30 minutes of 1999, and the first 30 minutes of 2000. The resulting video "Good Morning New World" was presented by Melhus in person. This project is funded in part by a grant from the City of Houston through the Cultural Arts Council of Houston/Harris County.
