DiverseWorks is a non-profit art center dedicated to presenting new visual, performing, and literary art.  For each DiverseWorks exhibition, Aurora curates a screening installation that takes place in the private screening room known as Flickerlounge.  While the main gallery will host State Fair, a public spectacle inspired by contemporary art fair and street peddling hosting artists from around the state, Aurora Picture Show welcomes Video LAB, which will also focus on Texas-area artists.

View abstract and non-narrative time-based concepts through Video LAB. Video LAB chronicles, compiles and serves as a place and structure for video and sound art in the North Texas area. These fields of activity are distinctive practices in the arts that are growing rapidly.  Video/Sound equipment and software have become portable and economically feasible for a growing number of artists to utilize as a tool for the creative process. Video LAB is a conduit to the proliferation of video/sound art and feeds off the technology and cultural forms of the current timescape in which we are living.

Artists include: Mary Benedicto, Brian Fridge, Thor Johnson, Kyle Kondas, Jesse Meraz, Greta Poulsen, Janan Siam, Trent Straughan, Vanessa VanAlstyne. Curated by Mary Benedicto
