A/V Geeks Presents "Daddy's Day"

Saturday, June 16 at 8 p.m.

Sunday, June 17 at 3 p.m.

The A/V Geeks pull from their vast archive of educational films to
bring you a tribute to Dad—the man who provided the sperm, brought home
the bacon and put up with your repeated rebellious attempts. Films
include: I Just Don't Dig Him, Fears of Children, Schoolboy Father (an
Afterschool Special featuring Rob Lowe, Dana Plato and Nancy McKeon)
and more!
A/V Geeks founder, Skip Elsheimer, spends most of his time collecting,
archiving and showing 16mm educational films. What originally started
as a hobby almost fifteen years ago is now a lifetime commitment as his
collection has grown to well over 18,000 films gathered from school
auctions, thrift stores, closets and dumpsters and now live in a former
boarding house in Raleigh, NC. Previous shows include such collections
as "The Modern Housewife" - a collection of films from the 50's and
60's promoting modern "necessities" to the busy homemaker;
School-A-Delic – late 60's school films which were heavily influenced
by the drug underground or Why We're Fat - films that cloud nutritional
information with advertising for the film's sponsors.
