Aurora Picture Show hosts screenings, video salons, special events, and film festivals year-round. Our events range in price with most events affordably priced or free to the community. Make sure to note the individual location and ticketing instructions for each event, as each cinematic experience is unique and may not have a traditional routine.

Wednesday May 2 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM		Happy (Video) Hour From the Americans to the Beats and Beyond: the Films of Robert Frank MFAH curator of film and video Marian Luntz will discuss the trajectory of filmmaker Robert Frank moving image work, share anecdotes of working with Frank, and screen selections from his filmography that now totals over 30 titles. add to outlook more info

Saturday May 12 5:30 PM - 12:00 AM		The Boat Show This waterborne excursion will take viewers aboard the M/V Sam Houston for a one hour screening of recent films and videos about artists engaged in nautical exploration, maritime history, boatbuilding, fishing, sea-steading, and radical expeditions. Saturday May 19 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM		Scoot-In Aurora Picture Show reunites with Buffalo Bayou Partnership and the University of Houston Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts to bring Houston another unique drive-in event specifically geared toward scooterists and bicyclists. This site-specific film screening will feature artist-made short-length films and videos about two-wheelers (scooters, bicycles, unicycles, tricycles and motorcycles). add to outlook more info
