AURORA HOME FILMMAKING CAMPS

Spring Break Camp for Ages 7-15
March 15-19, 2021 (10am-3pm CST)
Register HERE

Aurora Picture Show continues its online creative filmmaking camps, offering this week-long virtual camp for kids ages 7-15, to be held via the Zoom platform, Monday-Friday March 15-19 (10am-3pm).

Designed for home learning and making, this unique one-week virtual workshop will introduce kids to the basics of live-action and stop-motion video techniques. Participants will receive a “Maker Kit” including a mini tripod for mobile devices, and various materials that they’ll use throughout the week (to be picked up at Aurora the Friday prior to the camp). There will be a few simple, daily filmmaking exercises and group discussions, leading to open creative projects. A range of sequences culled from Aurora’s extensive film archive will be shown as examples in the lessons, and we’ll also show optional, fun “Lunchtime Movies” during the midday break. The goal of this Spring Home Filmmaking Camp is to engage young participants in exploring the medium, learning the tools, and setting their own creative ideas in motion! See information, requirements, and registration links below. If you have any further questions, please email us.
