Aurora Picture Show hosts screenings, video salons, special events, and film festivals year-round.  Our events range in price with most events affordably priced or free to the community.  Make sure to note the individual location and ticketing instructions for each event, as each cinematic experience is unique and may not have a traditional routine.

Aurora Picture Show volunteers will help participants create their story and local filmmakers will help bring them to life. add to outlook more info Saturday Jun 16 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM   16mm Filmmaking Workshop In this workshop students will learn to manipulate the surface of the film using a variety of direct filmmaking techniques: painting, scratching, and masking in order to create an experimental film on 16mm. The goal is to have each participant create and direct a film that will be screened at the end of the session. add to outlook more info Saturday Jun 16 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM   Director's Cuts: Films Created by Direct-Filmmaking Methods Working the surface of the celluloid, these films have been physically cut, scratched, taped, dyed, bleached, and optically printed to create a moving image on screen.
